Emoti-Con is NYC’s biggest annual showcase for young designers, makers, technologists, and tinkerers who believe in digital innovation as a tool for positive change in the world around them. Students from NYC public schools network with peers and professionals, and share digital media and technology projects that reflect a range of interest areas and address pressing issues. Emoti-Con is organized through a collaboration between young designers and a committee of youth-serving organizations including Global Kids, Mouse, CS For All @ the NYC Department of Education, The Parsons New School for Design & The New York Public Library.

Guests from Creative Tech Week, who are not affiliated with NYC public schools or after school organizations, are invited to attend the Emoti-Con Project Fair from 1-2:30pm. At the Project Fair, teen groups representing their schools and afterschool programs will exhibit their digital technology and media designs and prototypes to peers, guests and judges. Past projects have included everything from apps, games and podcasts, to assistive technology, tech-infused art and robotics.
